REVIEW: KIKO FOUNDATION

Finding that one foundation that sees you through, works with your skin tone and type perfectly and lasts from noon till dawn is something special. They're like a child to you. You have to look after them, buy them often and buff them in nicely with a top quality brush. For the past year I have been obsessed with the Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation in the lightest shade. However... I was recently gifted a few Kiko products and whilst sorting and organising my make up collection, decided to try it on a whim.

The shade was about 3 shades darker than I would usually get. You could definitly see that it wasn't the shade for me but I wouldn't say that I would never wear it. *After applying about three layers of powder; the colour mixed in better and the difference wasn't as noticeable.*

The consistency. Well well well. Wasn't I impressed. Like a thicker liquid that is easily blendable but you know it will cover. I couldn't stop admiring my skin in the mirror. It was near enough flawless. I do have a rather large spot next to my chin, but paired with the Collection lasting perfection concealer, it was almost gone.

The product is inside a glass container (how amazing is the Kiko packaging though?!!) with a pad over the top of the hole. I put my brush over the pad and pressed down slightly, getting just the right amount of product for one side of my face (aka cheek, other cheek or forehead and nose). This is the perfect way to insure not too much product is used, for example when pumping it onto your hand.

If I were to give this a score out of 10 it would be a definite 8, and I think I'll just have to get a few more lighter shades soon!
