Beauty first impressions: YSL

The gold packaging. The high sense of luxury. One of the most well known brands in the business. YSL make up has always been on my high end wishlist. But with the prices a little too high for my liking, a little Debenhams gift card for Christmas was spent wisely.

ROUGE VOLUPTÉ SHINE SHADE 44 NUDE LAVALLIÈRE

This your-colour-but-better shade is gorgeous. It's completely sheer and perfect for those bare-face days. I don't wear pink shades because I feel that with my pale complexion and dark hair, they have never gone well together. But I can easily see myself wearing this everyday. It's super soft on the lips, acting like a lip balm as the cold weather has cracked every part of my skin up badly. I'm definitly intrigued to try a darker shade so really see how well they wear against eating etc.

Top: Two swipes of the Lipstick. Bottom: Rosy toned Touche Eclat

TOUCHE ÉCLAT COLLECTOR RADIANT TOUCH SHADE 1 ROSE LUMIÈRE
How beautiful. I feel like that word describes everything quite well. I'm completely in love with the glittery case and since the design is slightly raised, the tube is easy to grip. I've seen reviews in the past, completely mixed with what it's used for and if the product is any good at all. With this, I went into the testing completely open minded. The product is very rose toned. When placed under the eye for concealing, it seemed to blend it realitivly quickly. I couldn't use it for blemishes, and as a highlighter, I don't feel that it would stand out enough over the base. However the product lasted for a while and definitly would use it for under eye brightening!
