The Palazzo trouser

The palazzo trouser. A statement piece that'll never go out of date. High waisted is key, as is a good mid drift material and long enough for summer heels too. They came about in the 60s and 70s, and as the word palazzo would suggest (big Italian houses), they're spacious too. They came about due to the rising popularity of women's trousers, though this was seen as inappropriate at the time.

We've seen designer brands fill their catwalks with the design, and most recently, have high street stores done so also. The ones I'm wearing here are from Shein. They sit high up on the waist, are long enough for the heel of your choice, and pleated, for an even flowier effect.
