Make up: From Winter to Spring

Winter is nearly over, Christmas is 10 months away, and I'm ready for a holiday. My A/W make up switched between a natural, brows and lashes, look, to dark lips and gold and brown shadow. And as much as I like that smoky vibe, spring is on it's way, and I can finally add something pink to every outfit, so why not start by brightening the face?

Base:

I opted for a matte primer and a less-matte foundation. Not sure why. Recently I've been loving the dewy look, opposed to my usual one colour rock face as I call it. I've been addicted to the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation on top of the L'oreal Paris infallible primer, topped with the Rimmel stay matte powder. Together they're a thin mixture and doesn't separate or move during the trans-seasonal weather.

My winter contour was something I like to call 'al la non existent'. My skin was breaking out and would become dry quickly. Layers weren't on my mind. For Spring I fancy being chiseled. I used a light dust of the Benefit Hoola bronzer for an all round swipe and took an angled brush and a heavier coat of the bronzer and applied this under the cheek bones, along the chin and hair line.

Eyes:

Pink. White and glittery. I love the Soap and Glory Kick into Neutral palette and the shade Fairy Light for an all over white base on the lid. I take a light coating of the shade Pink a Little and took a fingerprint of the shade Bright spark and popped this on the inner edge.

Since I cannot flick eyeliner for the life of me, I applied a thin line of Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner to my lash line. I used the Revlon Ultra volume mascara to add volume as lash curlers never seem to do anything for me.

Lips:

For spring, bright reds and pinks aren't something I'm a fan of for an everyday look. I love how this YSL Volupte Rouge in shade 44 Nude Lavalliere gives a creamy natural look to my extremely dry lips.

Brows:

Since the rest of my face is slightly plain, I wanted something to stand out. And what stands out more than my natural black bushy brows. Unfortunately. I popped the wax from the Barry M brow kit (Darkest one) along the edges to line them and filled the gaps with the powder. I coated this with the Benefit brow gel to lock it all in.
