What's on my face?

January. The start of my new face. The recent sales (plus Christmas gift cards) were good to me (not to my purse) and I bought a few things that I now can't put down. Here's what I'm putting on my face this month...

Base
I remember a time that I didn't use a primer. I was 15 and it was an awful dry and cracky period of my life. Now, if I don't have one on me, it's a no makeup day for me. I've nearly ran out of the Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot primer. It's cheap, does the job and I'll definitely repurchase. My foundation was a sale purchase, and one I wish I'd bought many of. The Urban Decay powder foundation is a new concept to me but I ADORE it and will have a full review up soon. Concealer is of course the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. This must be the 50th (a tad extreme) that I've bought and a staple in many a make up bag. My powder has become one of my favourite products at the moment. It's cheap and cheerful from Primark of all places, and does a really good job at mattifying the face when I need it most. Highly recommend.

Bronze and highlight
I've been a lover of this Sleek Highlighting quad since first spying it on like a hundred instas. It's an essential and at a tenner, is decently priced too. The Benefit Hoola bronzer is the perfect shade for the paler girl. The light brown shade adds a lovely tan to the cheekbones, nose or chin if needed, and you don't need to pile it on either. I have a few of these, including this mini that actually comes with a mini brush too!!

Eyes
The eyes are sometimes the only things I'll snazz up on an everyday basis. I couldn't live without mascara, and the Monsieur Big from Lancome one is absolute perfection. It gives length and volume and I love it. Shadow is a new purchase, with this Kiko pot in shade 11. I couldn't quite capture the shade on camera but it's a slightly shimmery pink, perfect for everyday, but I found it hard to layer for a brighter colour. Eyeliner has to be another Kiko product. My second tube now, the Precision eyeliner is a dream and I'm somehow managed to successfully do a few flicks since buying it.

Brows
Eyebrows are a staple on my face. Two black slugs sitting above my eyes. I must tend to them carefully, and to do this I use the Benefit Gimme Brow to comb and give an outline, then fill in with the MUA Luxe brow gel. I have the Benefit Ka-Brow, which is slightly darker than the MUA dupe, but both are pretty good, and I use the cheaper one on an every day basis.

Lips
As much as I love a berry lip, I eat too much and it usually ends up on my chin. Therefore I have to opt for a nuder colour, and I love the Bourjois Paris Rouge Velvet Lipsticks* (I may have the entire collection thanks to Bourjois) in the shade 01. It's the lightest nude and I love how creamy it is. If I want a pinker colour, I love this Miss Sporty lip balm* feeling lipstick with a hint of pink to leave them looking natural (shade 104.
