How to stay girly in the colder months
I'm a sucker for a pair of joggers and a hoodie when I jump out of the bath on a cold evening. But going out, for more than just an Asda dorito run, I feel very much inclined to look.. half decent. I plod to work in trousers that don't really fit me and an oversized jumper, just to get through the day. But Autumn has JUST started, and I haven't yet found my groove. But it's coming.
Tweed does it all for me. Tweed skirts, this blue beauty from Shein (use my code katiecouture15 for money off!) and matching tweed sets, oh the sets. It's hard to stay true to whatever your style is whilst wanted to wrap up in you dressing gown and hide until June. I started with the boots. These beauties are from Zara, but Office have been known to do a similar pair too. They're like ice skating boots, but walkable ones. Paired with the blue dress I mentioned earlier, a nice long coat and a scarf (and some see through tights because bare legs are a no, so make it fashion) and you're good to go.
Sticking to a white, bright and pastel theme isn't actually that hard in the winter as it is in the summer. Don't go for the florals, stick to the tweed and thicker materials and you're set. It's about how you wear something and what you pair it with, the material and it's definitely about the coat on top.
That's how you stay girly. You just do it.
