Fashion is a trial
I've worn many things in my time that A. didn't match, B. were awful C. were a needed error to discover what I should have worn instead. I think fashion, as I've mentioned before, is such an objective and personal thing. Fashion means nothing. Style means being able to work whatever you're wearing with confidence and conviction. Trends never stay. I think all of those times that my outfits didn't work, was because I didn't believe they did myself. And don't get me wrong, I look back on photos from when I was 16/17 and ask myself why I thought that was a good idea. But at the time, I was in love with what I wore, and at that age, really grew my confidence with clothes tenfold.
Even today, I'll imagine an outfit in my head, pairing each item with another, like the Hannah Montana wardrobe I always wanted. Still, I'll wear something that a 'friend' or two will comment, or laugh on. But I think I've grown now to ignore it all.
Fashion is a trial, errors are made, but sometimes the most out there outfit really really works.
