Spring in the city

I've lived in London my entire life, but exploring the city is never a boring task. Spring brings the new floristry, on the trees, gardens and shop fronts that we are all so familiar with. The season has two parts, the winter has not left yet side of Feb/March and start of April, to the do I really need a jacket? end and start of June. Sometimes these may overlap, and for those days a transitional outfit is a must.

This Topshop pinafore dress is one I've stalked for a while. I wanted it in pink, obviously, but settled for the black when it dropped down in the sale. The ruffled frills trim the skirt and bigger ones are added to the straps, adding a very feminine touch to a black piece. I paired it with this basic-yet not so basic round next jumper from Primark of all places. The top may not look special, but has a lovely panel detail down both sides, and the sleeves are beautiful. A simple design that does wonders.

My boots are the trusty Primark over the knee ones that I've had in my collection for two or so years now. Worn to pieces but you'd never know. Usually I'd find this heel a struggle to walk on for the whole day, but for some odd reason, not once have I ever ached after hours and hours with these. Trodding all over the city has never been easier. Primark bought out this bag very recently, and once I saw it on an instagram of someone random and who's account I now cannot find, I had to have it. Box and trunk bags are a rising trend, with brands such as Aspinal of London at it's forefront, and with a hefty price tag, so I'm very glad that the high street is now catching up. Lastly, my Adexe watch has not been off of my wrist since they gifted me it a few months ago. Rose gold with a huge watch face. I love the watch and I think it classes up many a look.
